About Us

Experienced Breeders

Welcome to West Street Aussies. We have raised and trained Australian Shepherds for the last ten years. All of our Aussies go through advanced obedience and some even go on to complete Canine Good Citizen testing and participate in therapy dog programs. Our Aussies come from strong working lines and look to have a job in life. We strive to provide that for each and every dog.

Happy, Healthy Bloodline

We raise AKC certified Australian Shepherd puppies. All of our Aussies have been CERF and genetically tested for over 200 genetic diseases. Puppies have a 1 year health guarantee against genetic diseases that have been screened for and a 14 day health guarantee for all other issues upon going home. All puppies are sold to pet homes only and may be altered before leaving to their new homes. Puppies will begin potty training prior to leaving and will be up to date on all vaccines and deworming. Our puppies stay with their littermates until 10 weeks. We have found this to play a huge part in giving them a solid foundation when they go out into the world.

Our Australian Shepherds love people of all ages. They have quite the fondness for children for sure. We strive to expose all our dogs and puppies to a variety of environments when they are small to help build them into confident adults. Please reach out with any questions.

Is there a waiting list?

Yes. We take a $200 non refundable deposit to hold a place in line for an upcoming litter. Once puppies arrive the deposit is half the purchase price to hold the puppy, remainder due on pick up/

What is the cost of a puppy?

This varies by sex/show quality/color and so on. Pets can go for $1800 while show quality can go in excess of $2500.

Are the parents on site?

Yes. All parents are on site. Potential families can meet the parents at the time they meet their puppy.

Do you screen potential families?

Yes, thoroughly I might add. The application will include questions on your family, your home, current and past pets, your lifestyle and so on. It will ask for release to contact your current veterinarian as well as personal references. If this is something you are opposed to then please seek a puppy elsewhere.

How many litters do you have per year?

Typically only one, sometimes two. But keep a lookout as upcoming litters are posted at the time of breeding.

Are your Aussies standards or minis?

We raise standard Australian Shepherds. While they are on the smaller size, due to their working lines, they still will weight 45-55 pounds.

Do you dock tails?

No. But depending on the female some have natural bob tails in their lines and can be seen in their pups.
